Emma Stone Is Engaged — & Her New Ring Looks So Stunning

Engagement season has officially arrived. Emma Stone is engaged to boyfriend and Saturday Night Live segment director Dave McCary, with the good news announced to the world at large on Dec. 4 via a very smiley Instagram post. McCary, who posted the pic on his account @davemccary, captioned the photo simply with a heart emoji, letting Stone's new engagement ring and the pair's happy faces do all the talking for them.

Though Stone and McCary's celebrity friends made sure to chime in with well wishes — and many more heart emojis. "Best new best post best love best lives best future yeeeee," wrote actor Sugar Lyn Beard in the Instagram pic's comments. "Love is real!?" commented actor Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (while Ryan Simpkins wrote, "Wow yes love exists!!"). "Congratulations to two of the most wonderful, loving, and creative people we know. Ilana and I are so happy for you!" noted tennis champion and activist Billie Jean King.

According to People magazine, the pair met in 2016 when Stone hosted SNL — and appeared in McCary's sketch “Wells for Boys" — and have been together since 2017. The couple has kept a relatively low profile when it comes to their life together, as well, with the engagement photo being one of the rare times Stone has participated in social media.

Hopefully this means that fans will be treated to another photo of Stone's new engagement ring sooner rather than later. Although the first snapshot is a bit on the blurry side, it does showcase the slender, white-gold-toned band and what looks to be a swoon-worthy diamond sitting front and center.

Because hey, they say engagement season lasts from Thanksgiving all the way to Valentine's Day — and there's no doubt that Stone's ring will serve as inspiration for many other new brides-to-be. Below, three engagement rings similar to the star's new stunner.
