EM Cosmetics Launched A New Blush — But It Does More Than Just Add Color
Having a naturally lit-from-within flush during the summer is fun... for about five minutes. After that, it's time to find a spot with the A/C turned all the way up. Fortunately for you, it's possible to manufacture a dewy, summery glow without ever stepping outside — and easier than ever, thanks to EM Cosmetics' Color Drops Serum Blush. Released July 22, the blush collection offers beauty fans a new way to add color to their cheeks: Instead of a powder or cream formula, EM Cosmetics' Color Drops are, in fact, skincare serums in a bottle. They just so happen to add a pop of pink and a sheer shine to your skin, too.
"I love skin care and I love makeup, so I wanted to marry the two together. With Color Drops Serum Blush, I essentially wanted to create healthy looking skin in a bottle," reads a quote by EM Cosmetics' Founder, Michelle Phan, on the brand's website. And it looks like EM Cosmetics achieved Phan's mission; retailing at just $25 per bottle, each Color Drops blush shade is formulated with squalane, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and Sacha Inchi oil — a South American ingredient traditionally used to keep skin soft and healthy, according to a 2015 study on The National Center for Biotechnology Information's website.
But it's totally understandable if you're more interested in the Color Drops because of their gorgeous shades; EM Cosmetics didn't hold back on the pigment. The Color Drops collection offers four blush tints: The warm coral Sunset Sky, the bright watermelon Pink Nectar, the deeper berry Soft Amethyst, and a traditional pink blush called Rose Milk (which has already sold out on EM Cosmetics' website). Surprisingly, you only need one drop of the blush to see color show up on both of your cheeks, and just two drops for a richer, more vibrant shade. (You can use a brush, sponge, or your fingers to blend the serum into your skin, too — always a plus.)
So, the next time you want your skin to look flushed, glowy, and naturally pink — without spending 10 minutes outside in the triple-digit weather — reach for one of EM Cosmetics' Color Drops instead. Below, the three blush shades left in stock on EM Cosmetics' website.
