Argent's Latest Collection Changes Everything You Thought You Knew About Workwear
When it comes to shopping for your fall wardrobe, office attire likely doesn't generate as much excitement as the new addition to your lineup of (ever-growing) fashion-forward boots would, that is, until now. The Argent Fall/Winter 2019 Collection has dropped and it's serving up a slew of pieces you're going to be eager to add to your closet that are just as good for big work events as they are every other day at the office. From trousers and blazers in head-turning hues to the ideal tops to wear underneath, Argent's latest arrivals include all the pieces you need to suit-up in style this season.
Founded in 2016, the direct-to-consumer brand has had a busy couple of months, opening its first-ever New York City store in June (there's also a pop-up location in San Francisco for west coasters). Now, the brand that's looking to redefine workwear has released a new lineup of styles, bringing even more options to the table that'll make getting dressed for work, well, less work.
Not sacrificing fashion for function and instead blending bold design with professional silhouettes that are practical for everyday life, Argent has be worn by a number of powerful women including Amy Poehler, Elaine Welteroth, Emily Weiss, Gloria Steinem, Hillary Clinton, and Huma Abedin (among others). And, it's easy to see why the brand has gained a loyal following, given its pieces have a stylish versatility that allow them to transition from a major presentation outfit to a polished weekend look seamlessly.
Forget boring gray suits in ill-fitting shapes, Argent's high-quality styles are sleek and provide for a dose of color. Offered in three hues — "Crimson," "Powder Blue," and "Wine" — the Classic Blazer rings in for $348, and can be paired up with the Slim Ankle Pant, $248, in a matching shade for a power-suit moment. Or, you can opt for the eye-catching Colorblocking Single Button Blazer in the "Juniper/Sage" colorway for $358. Consider styling the two-tone blazer with its corresponding Straight Leg Pant, $248, and a set of stark white sneakers for a streamlined, casual office look.
Of course, if you do prefer a more neutral hue, Argent has options for you, too. A great place to start, this black Boxy Blazer for $338 will look super-chic when worn with this black and white Pinstripe Straight Leg Pant for $298. Meanwhile, there are also a number of top styles you can pick up to wear with your trousers and under your blazers, such as this fitted, long-sleeve Polo Sweater for $288 that comes in both "Powder Blue" and "Black."
