If the increasing popularity of cargo pants, all-terrain shoes and sandals, and utilitarian hats have been any indicator, the great outdoors is coming for the fashion industry — particularly with pieces inspired by hiking. This may not come as a surprise since hiking boots (with a fashionable twist, of course) were a major trend for Winter 2018. But now, the outdoor aesthetic is in everything — and Acne Studios’ Fall/Winter 2019 Face collection proves it won’t be leaving any time soon.

With summer quickly approaching, it may be hard to believe that temperatures will begin to drop in a short number of months — especially if you’re just beginning to experience slivers of warm weather. That said, the latest drop for Acne Studios’ Face collection — which is available on the brand's website and at its retail stores — features plenty of effortlessly cool layering pieces you’ll be able to wear now through fall.

With relaxed silhouettes, vibrant colors, and all-over prints, these pieces will inspire your next backpacking trip — or at the very least, your desire to travel. According to its description, the unisex collection was inspired by research excursions in the Antarctic, featuring styles such as nylon anorak jackets and oversized shirts with printed maps.

The newest Face collection consists of ready-to-wear pieces, shoes, accessories, outwear, and more in a color palette reminiscent of the ‘80s. Wear the $390 Anorak Jacket throughout the summer over a cotton tank top and a pair of denim shorts, and when it gets colder opt for a sweater and jeans. If you want to wear a full athleisure ensemble, style the nylon pullover with the $300 Track Pants and the $130 Wool Beanie whenever you want to wear lighter layers.

If you want to embrace your inner globetrotter, the Oversized Shirt — which costs $380 and features a patchwork-style print of maps — will look great styled with a relaxed pair of jeans for an easy weekend outfit. Another chic piece from the collection is the Rugby Shirt, $360. Style it with bike shorts for a sporty take on the prep school trend, or with a pair of white skinny jeans à la Princess Diana in the ‘90s for your everyday occasions.
