Nominations for the 88th Academy Awards were announced this morning by directors Guillermo del Toro and Ang Lee, actor John Krasinski and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs. Though there don’t appear to be many major upsets among them, we do see a few surprise nods as well as a few surprise omissions, which may lead to a repeat of the #OscarsSoWhite controversy from last year.
