The next best thing to being the Duchess of Cambridge? Working as her right-hand woman (or man), of course! We’re referring to the role of private secretary to Kate Middleton herself, officially open following Kensington Palace’s recent confirmation of the impending departure of Kate’s former secretary Rebecca Deacon. After a decade in royal service, Rebecca is reportedly resigning following her upcoming nuptials at St. James’ Palace (where Prince George was christened). The assistant’s job description includes “organizing official programs and engagements, and ensuring Kate is briefed on who she is going to meet.” (Perhaps you would also have the opportunity to attend dress fittings with the Duchess and entertain Prince George and Princess Charlotte?! A girl can dream.)
The official posting isn’t online anywhere—yet. Prince Harry and the Queen have both posted staff vacancies in the past, so we have a feeling Kate may do the same. Keep checking here for the chance to apply—and we recommend updating your résumé and brushing up on your royal vocabulary skills ASAP.
