Nike Is Redefining The Societal Standard Of Beauty

While Nike has always been a proponent of healthy, toned figures versus rail-thin bodies, the brand is now making bolder moves to champion curvier figures. (Insert applause emoji here!) Thumb over to the fitness juggernaut’s Instagram account and you’ll find plus-size model Paloma Elsesser rocking a sports bra and leggings that speak to women of gorgeous voluptuous shapes.

Hypnotized by the stunning shot, we find ourselves feeling fully motivated to get our booties in gear, because we want to look and feel as confident as she is. With 70,000 likes and counting, the image and corresponding campaign is a sexy statement that working out does not discriminate, no matter your size, race or gender, and we can only hope other fashion labels will follow suit to hone in this truth. Just do it.
