Faux Real

Along with updating my wardrobe each season, I also love to make a few changes around my home. Even the slightest refinement can totally perk up a space (see Jonathan Adler’s Sunburst mirror!), but it never hurts to incorporate a serious statement-making something into your living environment too…how about a Faux Black Zebra Hide Rug? Mah-jor.

This giant black and white throw, a recent find from Jayson Home & Garden, is the epitome of glamour. It will instantly bring a funky, yet worldly aesthetic to any room—I have a similar cow hide rug in my styling studio— and it matches with almost everything. Honestly…everyone needs a little (or a lot) of faux animal print in their space, but if you feel a rug is too over-the-top, think along the lines of a lamp or pillow Covers with the same aesthetic.
