The 13 Best Things That Happened At Coachella

by Jessica Amento

In case your Instagram feed crashed, the 16th annual Coachella Valley Music Festival went down in Indio this weekend. Lucky for you, Team Zoe attended the event in full force and documented our favorite things along the way. Click through for a tour of our time on (and off) the grounds, and keep in mind it’s not too late to plot a last-minute excursion to attend weekend two!

1. The Fancy Kickoff Dinner

Members of the music illuminati gathered in the Rose Garden at Empire Polo Field on Thursday evening for an exclusive kickoff dinner. The menu included Alaskan king crab, chicken tikka masala and fresh berry dessert.

2. The Pre-Coachella Quiet

Prettiest thing ever: empty rose gardens accented by string lights and palm trees.

3. The Flower Power

From coronets to maxi dresses and press walls, florals were not in short supply this weekend.

4. Lykke Li's Power Suit

Lykke Li shut it down on Friday night in the Mojave tent wearing a shimmering black suit and glossy gold eye shadow.

5. Traveling By Golf Cart

Artists and their guests received curbside service backstage on golf carts for speedy travel in between shows.

6. Colorful Accessories

Spotted: a structured mini bag adorned by a printed Pucci scarf. Love!

7. Sunset Soul Music

Hozier took the Coachella crowd to church with a dreamy sunset backdrop.

8. The Return Of The Hawaiian Shirt

Festival goers channeled True Romance's Clarence in Hawaiian-style tops.

9. Our Breezy Brunch

Attendees at our brunch with DVF nibbled on stuffed avocados and mini omelettes, sipped Moet and left with a pair of sunglasses and a studded mini bag. Not bad for a breakfast.

10. Carnival Chaos

From the bumper cars and the Coolhaus ice cream truck to the packed dance floor, there was nothing we didn't like about this year's Neon Carnival party.

11. Cool Surprises From Jenny Lewis

The only thing cooler than Jenny Lewis' out-there suit was the fact that Haim joined the stage during her set.

12. Florence Welch's Insane Voice

Florence Welch left us awestruck with her powerhouse vocals, unrestrained dance moves and brass band accompaniment.

13. Solid Playlists For The Drive Home

Traffic's rough. But a personalized Coachella playlist will ease your pain. Maybe.
