Justine Skye’s Latest Collection For H&M Channels Her Love For The ’90s

By Christina Cacouris

The ’90s are back and bigger than ever. From crop tops to denim-on-denim, the fashion-favorite decade is once again in the spotlight. To celebrate, singer/songwriter/actress Justine Skye teamed up with H&M to design a spring capsule collection based on her own killer style, while highlighting and remixing some of the biggest ’90s trends. With a modern mix of sporty pieces, oversized silhouettes, and eye-catching metallics, these party-ready looks will leave you feeling comfortable and cool, no matter the occasion. “I’m a big advocate for being comfortable no matter what—that’s how I feel empowered through my look,” says Skye.

These vibrant two-piece sets, vintage-style T-shirts, and sporty mesh pieces are the perfect transitional pieces to try as you start to dream of warmer days. And from pops of neon to bucket hats, the collection will give you some serious ’90s nostalgia: so put on your favorite throwback album, pull out your butterfly clips, and get ready to party like it’s 1999 with these standout pieces, available now at H&M in stores and online.

If there’s one thing neon loves, it’s athleisure: acid green biker shorts and tops will brighten up any look. For something more subdued, layer a black mesh T-shirt dress over a neon one, or let a neon crop top peek out underneath overalls for a pop of color. Finish it off with a flick of neon eyeliner to match.

The crop top reigned supreme in the ’90s, as did the mini-est of miniskirts and shorts. Mix cropped shirts with high-waisted pants or, for a cropped-on-cropped look, layer a see-through mesh top and shorts over hot pants and a crop top. For a classic ’90s finish, pair with chunky trainers to complete the look.

There’s no such thing as too much denim when it comes to the ’90s. Pants, skirts, jackets, and even shirts all make a play. To keep it fresh, mix in a flash of metallics by pairing an oversized denim jacket with silver biker shorts, or top off a denim skirt and crop top with a silver bucket hat.
