Allow us to introduce you to our newest designer obsession: Noam Hanoch. Put on our radar by Rachel Zoe Studio (they styled the a-mah-zing Jennifer Lawrence in one of his pieces for Conan O’Brien last night!), the Israeli-born up-and-comer had us at hello with his debut capsule collection of perfectly tailored, eternally effortless pieces. Ranging from chic tuxedo-inspired garments to form-fitting dresses with delicate lace details and divinely cut jumpsuits, his looks capture a masculine-meets-feminine feel that is anything but forgettable. Here, the eponymous designer gives us insight into his background, influencers and more!
How he got his start in the industry… “My first job in fashion was as an intern under the creative direction of Alber Elbaz at Geoffrey Beene. I was 16 and had very little understanding of the genius I was surrounded with every day…”
His greatest influencers… “Geoffrey Beene and Giorgio di Sant’ Angelo (Where I was also fortunate enough to apprentice).”
On his debut collection… “More of a capsule, the collection explores the dichotomy between the uber-feminine and the minimalist and bold. Traditionally soft fabrics like silk and lace are cut in very graphic, sharp shapes, which are almost counter intuitive. In a way, I think it’s a very modern reflection on today’s woman, and the desire to find that balance.”
His ongoing design process… “For me, inspiration is always an attempt to capture, reconnect, and make tangible distant memories…it’s very subconscious, and takes a lifetime to work thorough…”
If he had to choose a favorite piece… “The Sonya jumpsuit comes to mind. I think it captures the softness of lingerie with the harder edge of a very straight masculine leg, and allows a woman to express both those sides.”

The knowledge he gained as Creative Director of Citizens of Humanity… “A love of sportswear, and a much deeper understanding for the many facets and sides that make up women and their desires. And that a classic pair of jeans is as perfect a creation as the most elegant evening dress!”
The woman he designs for… “Confident, sensual, with a deep understanding of when to reveal and when to conceal…and the knowledge that both can be equally powerful.”
What to expect from his upcoming collections… “I hope to continue exploring these themes for many seasons to come!”
