Valentino will livestream the Fall 2015 Couture collection from Rome at 1:30pm EST today. As fashion die-hards we’ll obviously be watching (we’re convinced the brand’s Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli are actual wizards), but this is a particularly special show even for non-insiders. Here are 5 reasons why you should tune in too.
1. Resort. Was. Gorgeous.
@maisonvalentino
We can't get enough of the brand's signature feminine silhouettes and ethereal embellishments, both of which were mainstays in the most recent collection.
2. It's In Rome!
@maisonvalentino
Unlike the rest of the couture shows this season, Valentino will be showing in Rome to celebrate the opening of its new flagship in the city’s Piazza Mignanelli. Think of it as a winning sports team playing on their home turf—we anticipate pomp and circumstance by the bucketload.
3. They're Winners
@maisonvalentino
Maria Chiuri Chiuri and Pieropaolo Piccioli just won the CFDA International Designer Award. We suspect this collection will only serve to bolster their already excellent reputation in the fashion industry.
4. The Front Row Will Be Major
@maisonvalentino
The impressive roster of A-list clients who are fans of the house will likely be in attendance, which translates to plenty of people-watching and endless outfit inspiration.
5. Surprises Are In Store
@maisonvalentino
You might remember that these two guys stormed the catwalk of the Fall 2015 show. Valentino is clearly not afraid to create a grand spectacle (see: Valentino: The Last Emperor ). We can't wait to see what they've cooked up this time.
