Transitional Workout Outfits

by Nicky Deam

Having the discipline to workout is challenge enough for us, we don’t need the added stress of what to wear while doing it. Which is why we’ve concocted some simple activewear ensembles that are not only highly functional, but will work just as well outside the gym. So order that extra side of bacon at brunch, you’re immune to judgement when wearing polished workout gear. Trust us.

Spin Class

A sports bra and cropped legging set is particularly slimming in black, but a few neon panels never hurt anyone. Post workout keep your unkempt hair off your face with a braided headband, and throw on a printed zip-up shirt so you don't feel exposed.

Ballet Beauty

Be a modern ballerina in this pale pink leotard and cashmere sweatpants. After class, wrap yourself in this grey cardigan and slip on these dreamy espadrilles, then pirouette through Whole Foods.

Yoga

Ensure your crane pose invokes envy in this streamlined tank and leggings. Post-meditation, stow your mat in a bright tote and top with a vintage-style hoodie.

Hiking

Hike up and down the mountain in these lightweight shorts and New Balance sneakers, then seamlessly segue to brunch by adding a long sleeved tee.
