Karen,

Though I like to embrace color all year-round, there is something about the spring season that calls for even more assorted hues. At the moment, I am really drawn to yellow, turquoise and neutral tones. So if you are looking to update your wardrobe, just add a few items in each shade to your closet…and voila, instant style.Starting with yellow, I suggest garnering up inspiration from Versace’s S/S 2010 collection. Nothing says summer quote like a vibrant, lemon-hued skirt. Complement the look with a white t-shirt and taupe buckle wedges. Remember: softer yellows work best with light skin tones, whereas a brighter, more fluorescent palate is better on darker skin.

Now for turquoise, why not take a cue from the blue-green jewel tones shown on the runways of Oscar de la Renta and Proenza Schouler? To emulate the catwalk color, try wearing a turquoise mini dress with a pair of sling black pumps to a spring soiree. On the neutral front, I think you will find it quite effortless to fall hard for this hue. There are more than a few must-have items worth investing in, such as a nude blazer or knit, wedge and blush-toned trouser. Each one is understated, yet fashion-forward and matches everything. Stay stylish! xoRZ
