What To Wear To A Spring Wedding

by Nicky Deam

Wedding season is almost upon us, and chances are your calendar is already full. With the massive variety of ceremonies today (vineyard! yacht! ranch!) the age-old conundrum of what to wear has only intensified. To help you focus on celebrating with the happy couple, here are a few location-specific outfit ideas to streamline your packing. Just because you aren’t walking down the aisle doesn’t mean you can’t look fabulous. We do draw the line at tiaras, though.

Beach Wedding

A beach wedding typically means sunshine and an offshore breeze, so opt for a loose bun pinned with delicate pearl pins, a practical wedge sandal, and a feather-light maxi-dress. Finish with a bold clutch.

Black Tie Wedding

Formal weddings are the perfect time to dial up the glamour. Channel your inner screen-siren and choose a floor-lenth gown in matte sequins. Add delicate drop earrings, a structured clutch and classic suede pumps for height.

Country Wedding

Whether the festivities are being held on a ranch, in a barn, or on a vineyard, you'll be grateful for wearing a chunky heel (read: no sinking into the grass). Pair with a pretty floral dress, bright raffia clutch, and sleek gold cuff.

City Wedding

City weddings are the ideal environment to channel spring's graphic trend. Stick to a black and white palette and keep the pattern focused to one piece, in this case a statement dress. Add subtle interest with a perforated clutch and banded mules.
