J. Crew’s Newest Addition

by Nicky Deam

J. Crew is launching a new premium denim line called Point Sur, and it is made by hand right here in Los Angeles. Each pair starts as soft, ringspun cotton and is stitched into modern cuts like our favorite uber-flattering, waist-nipping, high-rise skinny. The pairs undergo an elaborate dyeing and distressing process (they even throw pumice stones and golf balls into the industrial washing machines), then details such as the signature X-belt and leather tag are added before they get shipped.

Inspired by the easygoing California lifestyle, the lived-in looks are perfect for pairing with a striped tee or a paper-thin cashmere sweater and slip-on sneakers.
