Christopher Polk/NBC

Falling at the beginning of the week, and months after the most recent fashion shows, the Emmy red carpet could have been decidedly lackluster. Thankfully though, the reigning queens of the small screen proved that Monday is as good a day as any to push the sartorial envelope. With looks ranging from studded and flared cocktail dresses to fire-red, knife-pleated gowns, the results were fashion forward and undeniably chic. Herewith our Editor in Chief’s top picks.

Claire Danes in Givenchy Haute Couture

"This Givenchy gown is absolute perfection. The delicate lace panels, pleats and embellished neckline in fire-engine red look stunning on her."
