He may be known for intricately embellished designs, but Balmain’s Creative Director Olivier Rousteing—aka the Kardashian-Jenner’s couturier du jour—has teamed up with Nike for a new wave of fashion-girl approved athleisure. A glamorous smattering of soccer-inspired apparel and footwear, The NikeLab x Olivier Rousteing: Football Nouveau collection will feature sporty separates and athletic footwear (think track jackets, crop tops and sneakers), all intrinsically done in a black and gold color palette worthy of a Balmain red carpet moment. Marking the second collab in NikeLab’s Summer of Sport series, the collection blends Nike innovation with Rousteing’s creative vision via iconic Nike motifs reimagined through modern silhouettes and luxe finishes.

“Fashion is usually about the catwalk and the glamour, but with Nike it was about performance and the athletes,” explains Rousteing. “What I love about this collection is that we are integrating the iconic style of football into sport style.”

Despite an anticipated stampede likely to rival the Balmain x H&M collab, the sure-to-sell-out pieces are set to release at nike.com/nikelab and select NikeLab stores June 2. In the meantime, a preview of the coveted designs ahead.
