The Net Set: A Game-Changing New Shopping App

Net-A-Porter—the luxury e-commerce powerhouse—has just launched a new social shopping app called The Net Set. You are likely asking what this means, and whether it is worth jumping on yet another social media bandwagon. Early signs point to yes. With a news feed of products, styling ideas and inspiration all approved by tastemakers and friends that you follow, it is basically a way to cut through the truckloads of fabulous products on the Net-A-Porter site and distill it into a tailored (and lustworthy) shortlist of picks suited to your individual preferences. So essentially, you’ll spend less time browsing and more time finding the newest It product. The only person who isn’t on board? Your accountant.

How It Works

Download the app and log in with your Net-A-Porter account (make one for free if you don't have one). You are then prompted to select your preferences by liking a small selection of products, following designers you love, choosing tastemakers to follow and subscribing to "style tribes".

Follow Modern Day Style Icons

Look to the Style Council (aka the elite group of style icons and tastemakers) for real time advice and inspiration.

Get Inspired

Peruse Style Tribes (curated groups based on aesthetic preferences) for refined products. Categories include: Double Denim, Leopard Lover, Black is the new Black, The Bohemians, Party Girls, Fashion Magpie, Grey on Grey, Modern Lady, Just Pink and more.

Get Styling Advice From Brands

Interact directly with brands since every vendor on Net-A-Porter will have their own portal. Think: Inspiring imagery from campaigns and a list of products to style the pieces with.

Share, Comment, Upload

Upload imagery that you find inspiring, comment on things you love, build your own profile and suggest and share items with friends and followers.

Shop Anything And Everything

Take a photo of a color, pattern or anything you find inspiring and it will suggest products of the same vibe, basically making anything and everything shoppable.
