I Wear The Pants

by The Zoe Report

Moving right along into fall, I need to call attention to one of my biggest apparel addictions for the season…the harem pant. Thanks to Balmain, Dries Van Noten and Chloe, I rediscovered my love for this seemingly daring silhouette in the spring and have not looked back. In fact, I am completely attached to the effortless luxe of this look, particularly Temperley London‘s version.

With a little bit of I Dream of Jeannie whimsy and a lot of old school London sophistication, these pants are undeniably beautiful. Please don’t be afraid of the shape—they are executed in a way that will flatter a variety of body types. To complement their voluminous structure, take a cue from Temperley’s runway look—extenuate the high waist with an eye-catching belt, tucked-in top and platform heels. You can also translate this high-fashion style to your workplace attire by pairing harem trousers with a fitted suit jacket. A look that’s decidedly chic for the office, yet comfortable enough to sleep in…isn’t that what dreams are made of? xoRZ
