Adore Salvatore
Without a doubt, one of the most sought-after outerwear looks for the fall season is the camel coat. A quick scan of the runways reveals countless versions of the look—hooded at Chloé, sleeveless from Wang and a leather interpretation courtesy of Prada—that each deserve a moment in the spotlight. Though I am sure I could make room in my closet for all of them, it was Salvatore Ferragamo’s traditional yet dapper Camel Cape Coat that left the most lasting impression on my heart.
As one of the many beautiful creations in Massimiliano Giornetti’s womenswear debut—which was superbly tailored, subtle seventies and overall, so perfectly Ferragamo—he knocked it out of the park with this open in the front, long in the back wool creation. I mean…hello fashion super hero. The camel coloring and chic leather trim will look mah-jor with any autumnal ensemble, but my gut instincts are to pair this cape with a cashmere turtleneck, skinny denim jeans and metallic tote. xoRZ
