Copenhagen Style Is Happening

by Cary Spitzer

Copenhagen consistently ranks as the happiest city on earth, and we’re starting to wonder if that has something to do with its uber-cool fashion week, #CPHFW, taking place this week. Showcasing the best of Nordic Europe’s emerging designers and some industry stalwarts as well—Diesel Black Gold, By Malene Birger and Norse Projects, among others—the event highlights Scandinavia’s huge fashion community. Expect cameos from top Danish models including Josephine Skriver, who walked the runway at Freya Dalsjø, and Emilie Ellehauge, who was spotted at Lala Berlin.

Copenhagen Fashion Week presents an amazing opportunity to preview next spring’s trends before the main fashion weeks take place in September—and not only at the shows. Scandinavians love their fashion and boast fresh, unpretentious, avant-garde style, so the bloggers and editors hanging out in the streets are just as likely to inspire as the designers.

Below, our 10 favorite snaps of #CPHFW thus far.
