Sarong Yet So Right

by Aaron Aragonez

As an extension of her popular book, Gypset Style, author Julia Chaplin, who coined the term “gypset”, has just launched a new clothing line of the same name. Merging the expressions “jet-set” and “gypsy”, the Gypset collection appeals to the stylish vagabond in all of us. Narrowing in on my favorite part of Chaplin’s debut lineup, I am personally style-struck by these Basquiat Sarongs!

No longer will you have to schlep a cover-up, towel and dress to the beach when you can wear one fantastic, multi-functional piece that does it all. Made of African fabrics with an acid-color trim, Gypset‘s eye-catching sarongs are a beyond fabulous pick for a breezy day on the sand. Slip on your printed wrap of choice along with a pair of flat sandals and retro-inspired sunnies to create a coastal-cool look. Love! Of course, there’s no reason to reserve these stylish sarongs just for the beach…you can also wear them while lounging around the house as a bright alternative to your bathrobe. Sarong, yet so right! xoRZ
