Anyone Else Think It’s Weird That Reese Witherspoon And Her Daughter Are Always Twinning?

As much as we love our mom, there was literally no moment in our teens when we wanted to emulate her style (back then, mom jeans were a bad thing). Which is why it strikes us as odd that Ava Phillippe is constantly snapped with Reese Witherspoon wearing virtually identical outfits. We don’t know Reese personally, but we’re thinking she isn’t forcing her daughter to dress like her. Even if she’s as overbearing as her Big Little Lies character (we doubt it), we’re pretty sure Ava possesses enough gumption (hello, she’s related to the Reese of Cruel Intentions) to dress how she wants. But then, seeing this most recent appearance at WSJ Magazine‘s 2017 Innovator Awards, it finally dawned on us. Perhaps Ava looks exactly like her mom because her mom is an award-winning actress and entrepreneur and has a kick-ass closet. If our mom were stepping out in puff-sleeved Giorgio Armani frocks, we most likely would have copied her to a tee. So new mothers out there, take note. Keep your style game strong and treat your daughter’s imitation as the sincerest form of flattery.
