She may not have physically been in Hollywood, but Kate Middleton appeared positively primed for awards season at a recent Buckingham Palace reception where she looked as if she’d arrived straight from the Oscars. Celebrating Britain’s cultural ties with India, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a brilliant Erdem dress paired with equally shimmery Oscar de la Renta heels—bearing a striking resemblance to a few ensembles we saw on film’s biggest night of the year, particularly Isabelle Huppert’s floor-length Armani Privé gown. Because Isabelle herself is considered French film royalty, it’s no surprise she and Kate have a similar sense of style. Perhaps we can look forward to the Duchess one day gracing the most prestigious red carpet in Hollywood.
