As you might’ve heard, this evening’s ESPYs ceremony was one for the books. Caitlyn Jenner, the recipient of the 2015 Arthur Ashe Courage Award, would make her first official public appearance since her recent transition. In an elegant white Versace dress, she looked predictably gorgeous. What was even more beautiful was the bravery she exhibited during her moving acceptance speech, serving as a formidable voice on behalf of her community. She encouraged support, empathy and compassion for those on a journey (“Trans people deserve something vital. They deserve your respect”) and the universal concept of simply accepting people for who they are.
