Glitter, black and white, stripes—the Spring runways were littered with exciting sartorial inspiration. But it doesn’t begin and end with the clothes. The accessories, too, made a lasting statement on the catwalks. Sometimes they even stole the show. Who better to advise us on the top spring trends than Shopbop Fashion Director Elle Strauss? She curated some of her favorite accessories from New York Fashion Week for your sartorial pleasure. With pieces this whimsical and statement-making, spring can’t come soon enough.

Return Of The '70s

For 2015, the ’70s are back! I loved the fringe bags worn with chic shirt dresses, bell bottoms and chambray overalls at Rebecca Minkoff. Photo: Rebecca Minkoff Spring '15

Hello, Flatforms!

Flatforms are everywhere this season. Some of my faves were at DKNY and Derek Lam—I love when the fashion gods give us shoes that are cool and comfy! Photo: Derek Lam Spring '15

Sports Fan

The Alexander Wang show had his signature sports-inspired aesthetic, and the bags played off that to perfection. It’s so refreshing to see a new bag shape! Photo: Alexander Wang Spring '15, Getty Images

Bucket Head

The bucket bags at Phillip Lim are a great update on the classic black bucket bag from fall, and the cutouts make them feel modern and light for the season. Photo: Phillip Lim Spring '15

Mad Hatter

Long baseball caps as seen at Mara Hoffman. The entire collection was such a lovely explosion of print, and this look capped it off beautifully. Photo: Mara Hoffman Spring '15
