Rodarte and Vans Team Up To Inspire The Youth

Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte have joined the Vans Custom Culture initiative by designing a pair of chic shoes true to their romantic aesthetic. The Vans Custom Culture competition inspires high school students across the country to embrace their creativity in spite of decreased educational funding. Since 2010, the brand has hosted the Custom Culture event where students compete to design and create their own pair of Vans for a $50,000 award in support of their high school art program. The dynamic duo is one of many other influential artists, musicians and actors that have teamed up with the project to raise funds and awareness for the importance of art in schools all over the U.S. Read more about these cool collaborations on the Custom Culture site.
