Pretty Woman

This autumn, the fashion gods have given us a rather over-the-top gift…the over-the-knee boot. They are daring to say the least, but all the more reason to love, want and need them. I am particularly infatuated with this startling pair from Stella McCartney. A luxurious take on Julia Roberts’ iconic look as Vivian in Pretty Woman, these thigh-high, faux leather heels are anything but snoozy.*

As an ode to New York Fashion Week (which commences today!), I propose everyone give this over-the-knee boot trend a try. In addition to the above Stella McCartney set, there are to die for options from countless designers this season. I mean, obviously Jean Paul Gaultier, Louis Vuitton and Prada are onto something. When incorporating over-the-knee boots into an outfit, think of them as an alternative to tights or leggings. Throw them on with a mini dress or oversized sweater and shorts, and strut your stuff like Vivian would. xoRZ
