Make A Spectacle

by The Zoe Report

What could be better than expanding your sunglasses repertoire for summer? Hint: it involves customizing your own pair! That’s the idea behind Made Eyewear, a brand new company that allows you to build your own unique set of sunnies or prescription frames.

Founded by Kevin Hundert, whose family is responsible for REM, a major supplier of eyewear for brands like John Varvatos, Lucky Brand and Converse, the label lets users choose from eight cool shapes and eight fresh color choices (Are you craving hot-pink mirrored shades? Or maybe translucent opticals with tortoise temples?). After you’re done mixing and matching comes the best part: selecting a laser engraved pattern or custom text (think: your initials, a lucky number or personal mantra) for the arms. As if that wasn’t chic enough, for every pair sold, Made will donate a pair to a global organization that provides glasses and vision care to those in need. Set your sights on stylish accessorizing this season and design a pair now!

Availability: Customize your own pair of Made Eyewear sunglasses or spectacles ($84 and up).
