How To Stay Chic In A Heat Wave

As soon as the temperatures rise above 90 degrees staying polished feels about as unlikely as running a marathon in stilettos. So at a recent sun-soaked lunch honoring the CFDA-accredited designer Misha Nonoo, we got her tips for staying chic in sweltering conditions.

A Lightweight Dress

"White cotton is crisp (not stiff) and lightweight, making it one of the few fabrics I have found that makes a heat wave bearable. The version I use in my collection barely wrinkles, which is ideal for traveling and segues seamlessly from day to night. I'll wear this on the subway during my morning commute or at a summer clambake on the beach with friends."

A One-Step Makeup Look

"I have really sensitive skin, so initially I was weary of trying a BB cream but I love that this lightweight version includes SPF so I don’t have to worry about sun damage. The lightweight formula provides lasting coverage and is made with caffeine, which helps reduce redness, an extra bonus is the heat. It really melts into your skin."

A Polished Flat

"I opt for the this cut-out ballet flat from my Aldo Rise collection to give a breezy ensemble a little extra polish."

A Refreshing Body Oil

"There is nothing better than closing a long day with a refreshing shower and NARS Body Glow. It is lighter than a greasy body lotion and I just love this packaging."
