The New Chanel Accessory We’re Obsessed With

Any fashion girl who watched the Chanel Cruise collection make its way down the street in Havana, Cuba this past May was likely smitten by the range’s array of bright colors, whimsical silhouettes and that now iconic “Viva Coco Libre” tee. But those paying close attention would also have noticed the models’ footwear: leather derby shoes, accented with patent, exotic and even metallic details. The menswear-inspired shoe comes in 4 styles—three lace-up and one mule version, all intricately crafted with wide welts, a sewn effect on the soles and black leather toe. The low-heel—emblazoned with a discreet metal double C—is the perfect complement to a collection that looks like it was made to groove to Cuban tunes. Now Chanel Cruise has made its way to stores, and our inner tomboy is dying to slip into a pair of the derbies—they’re just the right amount of classic and edgy, boyish and bold. Here, the three ways we’re daydreaming about styling Chanel’s latest must-have accessory.
