Saturday Night Live’s Kate McKinnon and Silicon Valley’s Kumail Nanjiani co-hosted today’s Spirit Awards, and they brought down the house with one-liners poking fun at the indie scene including, “Tonight’s nominees are more diverse than a brochure for a liberal arts college,” and, “These films honor a range of difficult topics from child abuse to even worse child abuse.” The best parts of the hosts’ performances, however, were their Carol and Room parodies, which you can watch below–Kate McKinnon’s Cate Blanchett impression may just be the best thing you’ll see all week.
