It's a sad day for Friends fans. Jennifer Aniston, aka Rachel Green, just dashed our hopes for a reunion of our favorite '90s sitcom—and while we're heartbroken, she's actually got a solid argument for why the show wouldn't survive in the digital era.

"We were jokingly saying that if Friends was created today, you would have a coffee shop full of people that were just staring into iPhones," she said on the first episode of Arianna Huffington's Thrive Global podcast. "There would be no actual episodes or conversations."

The actress revealed her love-hate relationship with technology, sharing that she often has trouble putting down her phone. (Same.)

"Which came first, my bad sleeping habits or a device?" Jen thought aloud. "I honestly think I used to sleep beautifully, and I don't think I attributed it to the fact that these phones came into our lives that have actually started to disrupt our sleep."

So there you have it. We'll just have to make do with binge-watching reruns.
