Cindy Crawford Has Something To Say About Hollywood’s Age Obsession

by Samantha McDonald

Cindy Crawford has had one heck of a career. The supermodel has been in the fashion business for more than 30 years, becoming a household name in the modeling world and passing the legacy down to her mini-me, daughter Kaia Gerber. She also happens to do all this looking as beautiful as ever, but it seems she’s not immune to Hollywood’s obsession with aging.

In an interview with NewBeauty, Cindy revealed that there’s pressure for women in the industry to look young, but it simply isn’t realistic—and she’s totally fine with that. “No matter what I do, I’m not going to look 20 or 30. I just want to look great for 50,” she said. “I exercise, eat healthy and take really good care of my skin. It’s about looking great for however old you are, regardless of what that number is.”

So she wants to send a message to women everywhere: Accept yourself, flaws and all. “The 50-year-old Cindy would tell the 30-year-old Cindy not to be so hard on herself,” she said. “And, probably and hopefully, the 75-year-old Cindy would for sure be saying that to me. So I should get the message soon!” You go, girl.
