Just like that, the 2015 VMAs came and went—but that doesn’t mean there weren’t fruits of the outrageous award show that promise to entertain beyond the two-hour span of the TV spectacle. As a result of the night’s events, here are three things to look forward to in the VMAs’ wake.
Watching The "Wildest Dreams" Video On Repeat
It was a big night for Taylor Swift—the pop star arrived on the red carpet with her girl posse in tow, took home several awards including Best Pop Video and Video of the Year, and debuted the video for her newest single Wildest Dreams. Co-starring Scott Eastwood, the Joseph Kahn-directed film is a picturesque safari dreamscape—there are lions, tigers and bears, oh my—and we'd be lying if we said we hadn't already watched it multiple times. Check out the full video here.
Streaming Miley's New Album
Her outrageous onstage costumes aside, arguably the most surprising thing Miley did as host was announce the surprise debut of her new album Miley Cyrus And Her Dead Petz. Streaming for free on Soundcloud, the 23 tracks—whose titles predictably include many expletives and substance references—promise to take over our musical queues for weeks to come.
Following Kanye's Presidential Run
In his acceptance speech for the show's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Kanye ended a long soliloquy by announcing his plans to run for president in 2020. Only time will tell if Yeezy follows through on his lofty declaration—but if so, Miley promised to give him her vote.
