2016 Festival Season Kicks Off: See the Lineups Here

As we’ve barely recovered from our 2015 end-of-year celebrations, the recent flurry of festival lineup announcements feels a bit dizzying. Is it already time to gather our feathered headbands and start fraying our shorts? It would appear so. Here are the latest lineups you need to know as well as some tips on how to prep for the festival season ahead:

Coachella

When: April 15-17 and April 22-24

Who: LCD Soundsystem, Sia, A$AP Rocky, Calvin Harris, Pete Yorn, Guns N' Roses, Beach House, CHVRCHES, Disclosure, Ellie Goulding, and others. Full lineup here.

What to Expect: The requisite FOMO if your tickets are for weekend #2, and hopefully some classic Axl antics that don't involve bailing him on the show.

Under-the-Radar Acts to See: Purity Ring, Grimes, Gary Clark Jr., Bat for Lashes, Zella Day.

Wardrobe Must-Have: Slip dress and tiara.

BottleRock Napa Valley

When: May 27-29

Who: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stevie Wonder, Florence + The Machine, Death Cab for Cutie, Ozomatli, Lenny Kravitz and many others. Full lineup here.

What to Expect: Vitamin D-deprived NorCal inhabitants frying in the sun, craft beer, and lots of foodie-grams.

Under-the-Radar Acts to See: Grouplove, Deap Vally, Atlas Genius.

Wardrobe Must-Have: Worn '70s flares, weather permitting, and a practical jacket as temps can dip 30 degrees at night.

The Governor’s Ball

When: June 3-5

Who: The Strokes, Beck, Kanye West, Robyn, The Killers, Haim, Father John Misty, Miguel, Elle King and many others. Full lineup here.

What to Expect: A surge in swooning, not from heat stroke but from watching Father John Misty do that thing with his hips.

Under-the-Radar Acts to See: CHVRCHES, Holly Miranda, Eliot Sumner (Sting's daughter), Transviolet.

Wardrobe Must-Have: Sequins, sweats and sneakers.

When: May 27-30

Who: The Cure, A$AP Rocky, Florence & the Machine, Major Lazer, Disclosure, and more. Full lineup here.

What to Expect: Laugh breaks! Comedians Natasha Leggero, The Lucas Bros, Moshe Kasher and Lauren Lapkus will also perform.
