This Unexpected Country Is Apparently The World’s Safest Place To Travel
With unforeseeable natural disasters, security threats and even the idea of hazardous roadways (hello, potholes), traveling solo can often be a more discomforting (and less cathartic) experience. But what if we told you there truly exists a destination that’s both Instagram worthy and free from humanly avoidable dangers? That’s right, we’re talking Finland—a Nordic country that apparently earned its title as the safest nation in the world. The reputable World Economic Forum published a list of countries ranked by their “safety and security,” and Finland got top honors, with the US making a sad 84th place. And considering this year marks the country’s 100th anniversary of independence, we’d say it’s the perfect time for a visit. You can also consider one these other countries, too:
- Finland
- United Arab Emirates
- Iceland
- Oman
- Hong Kong SAR
- Singapore
- Norway
- Switzerland
- Rwanda
- Qatar
