Is This The New Airbnb?

by Stephanie Montes

Whether you like to travel on a budget or prefer to book places that can accommodate large group getaways, chances are you’ve rented a home on Airbnb at some point or another—and it’s no wonder why. Nothing beats seeing your destination through the eyes of a local and there’s also something comforting about feeling at home when traveling. But then again, you’re on vacation, so who wouldn’t want the convenience of a hotel? Finally, there’s something for you in-betweeners out there.

Oasis Collections—a short-term home rental company with properties in Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Paris, Barcelona, London, New York, Los Angeles, Miami and more—is giving Airbnb a run for its money. While it’s not as affordable (a stay in Miami run between $150 to $3,500 per night), the perks are well worth it. Their 24/7 concierge service helps with everything from booking restaurants and in-home personal chefs to arranging activities, classes, tours and airport transfers and can even get you access to special events (services, not activities, are complimentary with your booking). Need more reasons to get excited? They provide gift baskets, fresh linens and towels upon arrival and have pretty much anything you might need on your trip, including local cell phones (for international trips), adapters and other travel needs. Oasis Collections accepts reservations up to one year in advance, so if you’re thinking about booking something for spring break, do it now.
