Obviously our EIC has based her life and career around celebrating fabulous, head-turning, boundary-pushing fashion, so we decided to start a new series in which we ask Rachel for her favorite look of the week. With the Emmys having just taken place, she had a plethora of options to choose from. And this week’s award for best look goes to…Lady Gaga who rocked a stunning (and did we mention dramatic?) white Brandon Maxwell gown to the Emmy Awards after-party. A stunning juxtaposition to what can be referred to only as the “meat-dress era,” Gaga wowed in elegant ensembles not once but twice in one evening. Starting with her sophisticated black gown by the same designer on the Emmy Awards red carpet and ending with this stunning balloon-sleeve confection at the Fox after party, it’s easy to see why Rachel was left “Speechless” by her. “I love her spin on old Hollywood glamour,” says Rachel. “This feels like a tribute to Marilyn Monroe.”
