“My collection at WGACA East Hampton speaks to the modern woman—softer by day and more polished and glamorous by night,” she says. “To me, long dresses, soft ruffles, subtle prints and crisp whites are what define summer dressing,” but since she’s always prepared for the season ahead, her selects also include a few cozy sweaters and statement jackets for early fall. Why is What Goes Around Comes Around your go-to for vintage?
"I have been collecting vintage pieces for over two decades, and I've shopped the What Goes Around Comes Around New York City store since it opened. I'm now obsessed with the East Hampton and Beverly Hills locations—they have always had such an amazing and perfectly curated selection of luxury pieces."
What is the first luxury vintage piece you ever bought?
"My first vintage piece was an amazing Chanel black dress. I still have it and still love it!"
For first-time luxury vintage shoppers looking for a good starter piece, what do you recommend?
"I think a vintage designer bag or coat is always a great investment that withstands the test of time. Make sure it is in mint condition and all labels are intact so it will maintain its value."
What are the top three vintage pieces every woman should have in her closet?
"A classic handbag in black or camel, an Hermès or YSL piece of statement jewelry and a classic Chanel jacket—items you can easily wear with everything."
What are the vintage pieces you value the most in your own collection?
"Some of my most treasured items are my vintage YSL and Chanel jackets and my Hermès bags—these are pieces I could never part with."
How do you style modern pieces with luxury vintage?
"I always find it easy to layer vintage outerwear over my everyday pieces. I'll throw a Chanel tweed jacket over a dress or flared denim."
