As we tie a big beautiful bow on 2013, I am looking forward to a month-long staycation at home. For the first time in fifteen years, I have no holiday travel plans, because I’ll be snuggling at home by the fire with my boys in anticipation of our newest addition. Even better, many of our friends are staying in town this year too, which gives me a glam excuse for plenty of at-home entertaining.
But, just because I’ll be nesting at home doesn’t mean I’ll be doing so in a robe! Unless it’s covered in sequins. December is a time to shine in every form, so get ready to bust out your diamonds (faux or real), glitter and gold lamé. Rest assured, my team and I will keep the sparkly suggestions coming all month long to cover every festive occasion from now to New Year’s.
Now, to everyone’s favorite part of the season: holiday gifting. While you hunt for the perfect present for everyone on your list—which we will help you do with a major gift guide—I ask that you also keep in mind all of those who need your help. Considering the recent tragedy in the Phillipines, it is imperative for us to each contribute whatever we can to the cause.
