But even better than shopping Olivia’s covetable designs? Our chance to sit down with the style maven for an inside scoop on style, beauty and work. Ahead, pro tips from the designer herself, plus the beauty items she can’t live without—and why she’ll never regret a single outfit.

On Designing The Collection

Joe Schildhorn/BFA.com

"I thought it was important that the first collection have 'lifer pieces' you can build upon. I truly love accessories, and beauty goes hand-in-hand, so to round it all out we brought in apparel. I thought it was great to partner with Nordstrom as they are one of the best retailers in the US."

3 Of Her Pro-Styling Tips

The Wide-Leg Pant

"A wide-leg pant is so versatile—you can throw on a chunky turtleneck or a great blouse, or if you want to go for more of a classic style you can pair with a button-down shirt."

The Statement Vest

"I love the layering aspect of vests—you can wear it as is or as a dress or statement coat. You can take off the belt and re-accessorize to put your own spin on it. It's super important to play around with different textures, patterns and colors too."

The Denim Skirt

"With a great structured, '70s-inspired denim skirt you can do a great little sandal in the summer with an off-the-shoulder shirt. Then in the winter you can do a great boot or a bootie with a chunky sweater—it gives the piece a whole different feel."

"Colorful, accessorized, eclectic...and tailored, four. We'll cheat."

On Her Biggest Fashion Regret

“No regrets. If there's anything, you take a piece and think, maybe I could have tailored that differently or maybe next time I'll play with a different texture or fabric. But overall I think you just kind of move forward and as you get older you find out what works for your body type and what doesn't, and you learn from it."

The Beauty Products She Can't Live Without

"All my Ciaté products are amazing, and I also use Charlotte Tilbury's products and YSL. All three brands keep my makeup intact."

Her Career Philosophy

"My philosophy is you have to really love what you do and be truly passionate about it—life is too short, so you should change it if you don't."
