Similar to the popular "Year In Review" concept, Friend’s Day videos will be based on an algorithm that incorporates the best moments you've shared with friends on the FB and will start to appear in news feeds across the Interwebs by midday today. But don’t fret, your video will only become public if you choose to share it. [ Fast Company ]

Starting this week through February 15, McDonald's is giving out books to kids as the Happy Meal prize instead of toys. Part of a partnership with Reading Is Fundamental, the fast food chain is offering 5 mini-sized paperback books mostly themed to Valentine's Day. Marking the third time since 2013 that the burger giant has tried to pass off reading materials as Happy Meal toys, we hope it serves as a reminder to kids that learing is cool. [ Grub Street ]
