The Many Hairstyles Of Zoe Kravitz

by Kristi Mikesky

When it comes to hair, we applaud anyone who can not only pull off a multitude of different styles, but be fearless enough to even try them. In the last couple years alone, Zoe Kravitz’s mane has been everything from blonde to jet black, with lengths spanning from just below her ears to cascading down her back. The most impressive part? She owns each and every look equally. When she debuted a new chop on Instagram this week, we couldn’t help but take a trip down memory lane through her chameleon-like hair transformations—and furthermore, we can’t wait to see what she’ll do next.

Zoe's high school 'do fused two trends many millennials have also probably rocked at some point: swoop bangs and long layers.

Holy platinum! Zoe's short-and-blonde phase further played up her edgy vibes. Here, while on her way to the Met Gala in 2014, we love the contrast between her super-light hair and darkly romantic eye makeup.

Zoe has the ability to pull off a whole lotta look in a totally cool way. Exhibit A: wispy mini-bangs and purple-hued tips.

Zoe looks effortlessly polished with a middle part and sleek locks, seen here with January Jones while promoting their film Good Kill in 2014.

Zoe's first iteration of her now-signature braids appeared in September 2014, which she adopted for a movie role.

A style she maintained through the latter half of 2014 up until May of this year, Zoe walked several red carpets with a variation of her oft-rocked braids—tightly woven until roughly shoulder-length, then left un-plaited through the ends.

Zoe debuted a drastic new 'do by lopping off her braids in favor of a shorter, wavy lob (once again, seemingly for a movie role). We love it!
