2017 Grammy Awards: This Artist Will Be Challenging Beyoncé’s Domination
Widely considered an artist’s measure of success in the music industry, the Grammy Awards have always been led by superstar performers. Clearly this year is no different: The Recording Academy just announced the 59th annual Grammy nominees, and with nine nominations, Beyoncé unsurprisingly dominates the list. But it looks like a diva duel is set to happen as Adele faces off with Queen Bey in three of the four top categories: album, record and song of the year. (The two also go head-to-head for best pop solo performance.) Drake, Rihanna and Kanye West follow, with each scoring eight nominations, and other honorable mentions include Amy Schumer’s The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo for “Best Spoken Word Album” as well as posthumous nominations for famed rockstar David Bowie. See the complete list of nominees here.
