Net-A-Porter’s Natalie Massenet Just Joined This Rival Company

Call it joining forces or the start of some very healthy competition: Natalie Massenet, founder of fashion-girl-beloved luxury shopping site Net-a-Porter, just announced she’s moving to rival online fashion retailer Farfetch, which culls current and vintage finds from top boutiques across the globe, as non-executive co-chairman. The news comes about a year and a half after she surprisingly left her own platform ahead of its merger with competitor Yoox—industry leaders have been speculating about her next move ever since. Now Natalie has revealed via Instagram that she’ll be doing business alongside Farfetch executive co-chairman and founder José Neves, with whom she’s previously worked at the British Fashion Council. “Today we expect access to everything, anytime, anywhere,” she posted. “If I were starting an e-commerce company today, I would do it very differently.” Good to see her back in the game.
