According to E!, actress and writer Mindy Kaling is pregnant! The 38-year-old A Wrinkle in Time star is, according to the outlet’s multiple sources, unexpectedly expecting her first child. No further details are known at this time, but we’re dying to find out who the daddy is. “I’m not cavalier about who I would have a kid with,” Mindy told Yahoo! Style in 2015. “But the thing I ask every parent that I really admire, the one comment they all have is that they wish they had kids earlier.” She then went on to predict that her first pregnancy would happen pretty much as it apparently has. “I think I’ve decided that unlike everything else in my life, I’m going to be fast and loose about kids. I’m going to not actively plan, but if it happens, it would happen.”
We can’t help but hope the soon-to-be dad is the always-hilarious B.J. Novak, Mindy’s longtime bestie with whom she’s been romantic in the past. “I will freely admit: My relationship with B.J. Novak is weird as hell. He is not my boyfriend, but he is not my best friend,” she once told InStyle. That description, to us, has “baby daddy” written all over it. For now, we’ll just have to speculate with our fingers crossed, but no matter who the father is, we’re over the moon for Mindy!
