Our beloved Lady Gaga is not shy about much, and she’s certainly never been coquettish about showing off her collection of more than 20 tattoos. Her latest ink looks to be her boldest yet, though according to Gaga’s makeup artist Sarah Tanno it’s not permanent, but rather a form of art done specifically for her Grammys performance with Metallica. She displayed the temporary tattoo on Instagram, with a caption that reads “The Moth & Metallica.” The design, done by American Horror Story makeup artist Mike Mekash, references Metallica’s song “Moth Into The Flame.” It certainly added to the pop icon’s daring, metal-inspired red-carpet look, as well as enhancing her overall aura as she took to the stage with the legendary rock band.
