Karl Lagerfeld’s New Project Will Make Traveling Even Chicer

by Amy Lee

We know Karl Lagerfeld as the creative genius behind Chanel, Fendi and his namesake label, but now the 83-year-old designer can officially add hotelier to his name as he prepares to launch Karl Lagerfeld Hotels & Resorts. The hospitality group will include hotels, residential buildings, restaurants and members-only clubs marked by his signature aesthetic and brand. Most recently, Lagerfeld oversaw the design of one of the buildings for the Lisboa Palace Hotel in Macau, which will open its doors in 2017. With a giant Choupette gracing the entrance and Lagerfeld’s recognizable silhouette on keys cards, we can only imagine what his new chain of resorts will feature. No word on the exact dates on the grand opening, but we’re predicting tweed upholstery, Karl Lagerfeld Diet Cokes in the minibar and white marble floors aplenty.
